Joseph Kutter - Portrait of a clown - 1935-41
Joseph Jean Ferdinand Kutter (1894–1941) is considered one of Luxembourg’s most important painters. He was greatly influenced by the Impressionists but developed his own distinctive Expressionist style.
I thought this was just a joke but nope, that’s literally what the artist named this piece.

Guillermo Del Toro commissioned legendary poster artist Drew Struzan to do this poster design for Pan’s Labyrinth. The movie studio ultimately refused to use the poster and opted for a more generic photoshopped design in lieu of Struzan’s hand painted work.
Struzan is well known for his iconic posters for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films.
