It’s been over 2 months since I finished my degree in English literature, and I’ve just started and finished reading the first proper novel (for pleasure) in +/- 3-4 years. I’m potentially prouder of that than of my actual degree
Recording chapters of a book for a friend who’s in hospital, and it’s taking ages because it’s a fairly clumsy translation and they keep using needlessly obscure words like “obstreperous”. I keep tripping up and having to redo the entire chapter because I haven’t got any real editing software at the mo. So yeah, my essays are kind of on hold at the moment.

Passive-aggressive neighbours be passive aggressive: forcing us to adopt a huge bin that isn’t ours by first rolling it in front of our gate, then rolling it in front of our front door so we can’t get out of the house.
Why would we put it back onto the sidewalk every time if it was ours ? Is that what you do to a bin when it’s been naughty or something ?!
