I´ve been watching a couple of Youtube videos lately about American buttercream and decided to give it a shot.

The plan was to try and pipe on some roses, but they…well…to be honest they looked like an absolute trainwreck. XD
So I scraped the cream off the cakes, put on a closed star nozzle and did this. Essentially it´s just like dotting the cream on, but I think it creates a very nice effect. What do you think?

The cakes are vanilla cakes with chocolate chips. The cream is American buttercream with vanilla flavour and a bit of red food colouring.

So I told tarmahartley about the Renaissance Fair I´ve been to this weekend and promised to show her the cloak I´ve purchased, so…there it is!

Needs a bit of ironing though.

I am so glad when I have moved all of my stuff… got 49 out of roughly 150 books carried down the hill… also walked about 3.6 miles already… I’m gonna be so beat when all of this is over.

i have taken to thinking of hockey players to motivate myself.

Can’t wait to sit in the living room and have my brother walk past behind me and comment on whatever I’m looking at on my laptop.

Can’t wait to see the look in his eyes when he realises that he just fucked up again, because I will tell him every little detail he never wanted to know about whatever I’m looking it in that moment. He should know better by now.

It seems ranting about things creates motivation - I´ve finally finished my Hobbit feet! :D

I´ve based their creation process on this tutorial and modified them to my needs.
Naturally they´re far from being perfect - for example they´re hideous on the back, as I failed to dye the velcro I used to attach the mesh holding the “hair” around my ankles.

The hair is dolls wool (Puppenwolle) btw, which you can use to make hair for rag dolls.

But they´re super comfy, and l´ll be probably taking a spare pair of sandals or ballerinas anyways in case my Hobbit feet should fall apart.

Nonetheless I´m super proud of these. :D

Well look at that. Looks like someone´s been working on cosplay stuff!
And right now it looks like I´ll be able to complete them tomorrow.
(They look awesome on my feet, like almost completely invisible. Found the tutorial for them here - modified it a bit to be able to add the hair. Pics will follow once they´re completed.)
