It’s been over 2 months since I finished my degree in English literature, and I’ve just started and finished reading the first proper novel (for pleasure) in +/- 3-4 years. I’m potentially prouder of that than of my actual degree

So I’m writing my theatre and politics essay on video games, and feeling both excited and mildly terrified…

So I went to the Pound Shop and got the following items :
- a standard foam Halloween mask for kids (which I am going to use in a DIY)
- a pot of eyeball shaped Halloween lollipops
- a PG 12 DVD
- a 5p plastic bag.
I was asked for my ID… I am 22… I’ll let you decide which item was at risk of being inappropriate for me, because I haven’t got the foggiest…

Oh lord. I guess the only thing you can do is wait and see how it turns out :/ I’m sure they won’t mark it as a complete fail though?

It ‘s part of 15% seminar assessment of this module (so I’ll be marked on this and my responses to other people’s position papers every week). It won’t be a complete fail if I can somehow redeem myself, but it’s not an ideal start…

Weeeell… I’m not sure I answered the questions I was meant to … it was a “position paper” (I am currently sitting down because it’s easier to type, but I don’t think that’s what they wanted)  on two critical texts for seminar preparation which I had to upload and now everyone has to write a response  … It was on Henry IV, so I’d written this whole 500 word mini-essay on stuff I thought was interesting (how Hal was using Falstaff and his friends for his own means, etc…), drawing on the critical texts (So I drew a little house with butterflies … not really, but I might at least have gotten points for creativity)… in any case, I saw that everyone else was kinda rephrasing the essays, rather than using them as a starting point for something else. Basically I submitted utter rubbish 3 minutes before the deadline … I now have a 9am seminar and won’t be able to sleep because I’m so tense … (present and future… and the punning isn’t helping )
