reasons to play baldur’s gate:

• literally zero system requirements. you can play it on your 20-year-old computer, on your tablet, probably on your toaster
• great plot
• 4839483 class/race combinations that actually force you to adapt to different fighting styles
• pretty hand-drawn backgrounds (especially in baldur’s gate 2)
• bioware sense of humor (before ‘sad weapon’ there was the saga of golden pantaloons)
• your PC is a snarky piece of shit
• want to change something? romance unromanceable characters? sell your soul to the devil? there’s a 99% chance there’s a mod for that
